Sobek is a reptilian mutant — vampiric, part cat, part dog, built like something that crawled out of an ancient myth and decided to stay. In the Houndmouse universe, he's one of Houndmouse's own: loyal in the way that only creatures with claws and fangs can be, which is to say completely, and on their own terms.
His name borrows from the crocodile god of Egyptian mythology — deity of strength and deep waters — and it fits. Sobek doesn't come to you. You earn his presence.
